This pretty lady is Mama Baker! She is a ~3 year old mixed breed who weighs about 60 pounds. When she first came to us, she had a belly full of puppies. They all found their forever homes and Mama Baker is still eager to find her pawfect match!

Mama Baker is sweet as pie, but she is also very timid at first. She'll need an adopter who will go slow and be patient with her while she adjusts to her new surroundings - new situations can be scary for a timid gal like her. An experienced dog owner who is willing to work with her on her fear would be ideal. Once she warms up and realizes she's safe and loved, she will love you unconditionally. Mama Baker is very gentle and loves to snuggle and lay her head on her person's lap. Keep in mind that her unconditional love can also lead her to be protective of her people. For this reason, she needs a home with no other dogs. It will also be necessary for her new family to let her hangout in another room if there are visitors.

Mama Baker prefers to hangout with adults and warms up to them much quicker than children, so she kindly requests no kids under the age of 16 in her forever family. As with any visitor, if you have children that visit or neighborhood kids, Mama Baker would feel much safer and more comfortable if you let her hang out in another room. A secure fence is a requirement to adopt Mama Baker.
