Meet Maizy!
A spirited approximately three-year-old Coonhound from Rockford, MI, whose heart is as big as her joyful howl and whose tricolor coat shines with personality and charm.
Maizy is a bundle of affectionate energy—a social butterfly with four paws and a voice that could make any songbird jealous (yes, she’s very vocal—it’s a Coonhound thing!). Her days are filled with joyful romps, playful wrestling with her dog companions, and snuggly moments that melt hearts. While she quickly established herself as the confident leader of the pack in her current home, she’s always respectful, loving, and full of gentle enthusiasm.
She’s especially tender with little ones—Maizy lives with a toddler and shows remarkable patience, even when those tiny hands get a little grabby. You’ll often find her lying quietly while being petted or sharing her food bowl with no fuss at all. Talk about grace under toddler pressure!
Maizy is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, and vaccinated—ready to go! She’s a smart cookie who knows “sit” and is highly food-motivated (which occasionally leads to some sneaky counter-surfing). She does wonderfully in the car and handles time alone without stress, but she really thrives with daily activity and room to run. At about 60 pounds, she’s a sturdy, medium-sized gal with a heart full of excitement and curiosity.
This pup is all about connection. She’s compatible with other dogs, friendly toward strangers, and endlessly affectionate with the people she loves. However, Maizy’s strong prey drive and love of the outdoors make a secure fenced yard a must—she’s a hound through and through and takes her sniffing duties seriously!
Whether she’s lounging with a squeaky Kong toy or galloping around in a big open space, Maizy is ready to share every adventure and snuggle that comes with family life.
