Maizey Mixed Breed Manchester, NH

Maizey is an incredibly sweet, gentle, well mannered shepherd/lab mix roughly 2-3yrs old. While she is still just a young lady, she’s already been through quite a bit. As it sometimes happens, histories can get lost and what we do know about Maizey is probably less than what we don’t know. What we do know since coming to NH: she is great with dogs and people. She can be shy initially, but she quickly warms up and is what you could consider a “velcro dog”. Her favorite place is wherever her humans are. Maziey is as happy to run and play and wrestle with other dogs as she is to cuddle on a couch for a lazy afternoon. She sleeps well in a crate at night, has caught on to housetraining with a schedule and would do best if with another dog or with her person as she’s not a fan of being left completely alone.

She has had a litter of pups and most importantly has a history of recent FHO procedures on both of her hips. Upon arrival, Maizey was non weight bearing on her right hind leg and very uncomfortable. First stop was to the vet’s for a consult and recommendations for care, which included pain management, rest, and time to heal and see if there were improvements. Over the past 2 months in a foster home, she has progressed wonderfully physically and there is no indication that this will limit her ability to partake in typical doggy activities. She is a very active dog who loves to run and play but also has a great "off switch" when you want a buddy to Netflix and Chill with.

All Motley Mutts Rescue's puppies are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. All adult dogs are also tested for heartworm prior to transport that are older than 6 months. All puppies and adult dogs will have seen a NH vet for a health certificate within 14 days of adoption. Unless otherwise noted adoption fees range from $500 on adults and $600 on puppies and adults. Adoption fees reflect the costs we incur on vetting and transporting the dogs. All Motley Mutts are in NH for you to meet to see if there's a connection prior to adoption.
