Meet Maia

Maia is a medium-sized 3-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix who weighs 46 pounds. She is an active, unique, playful girl who has been waiting too long for her forever family. She is so ready to be someone's new best friend! Maia takes a moment to learn to trust new people; sometimes men can make her nervous. At PCAS, she's developed great relationships with both male and female staff members and just requires someone with patience and understanding of her insecurities. When comfortable, she loves long walks outside, playing with stuffies and chew toys, and she's the puzzle game master and can sniff out treats in record time! Maia would do best in a home without other animals and with older children. She was tested for heartworms and Lyme and was negative for both. Maia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go home. Maia is considered special needs because she has three legs.
