We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. We will go through our line to set up a private meet and greet for potential adopters to foster.

Magic Mike
5 year old, male, Pit Bull Terrier mix
Magic Mike is an incredible dog who has been through so much yet continues to be so loving and sweet!
Back story: Mike was living in a home where he was one of many dogs. A female dog in the home went into heat and it caused several in tact males to become aggressive, turning on sweet Mike and beating him up really badly. Mike had to be surrendered due to his injuries and we were lucky enough to get him transferred here!
Despite being so brutalized by other dogs he still loves dog friends and is social with them. He really scored and got to go into foster care with Aska Langman at her amazing farm. He has met other dogs, cats, a toddler and has done so well. His wounds are healing up nicely and his spirits are great! Magic Mike LOVES people and will shower you with slobbery kisses and big hugs. He really is an example of how resilient dogs are and the fact that he is so trusting and friendly despite what he has been through is a testament to his character. We can't wait to find a perfect home for Mike where he is shown nothing but love and understanding. If you are looking for a wiggly, block headed, make-out buddy then Mike is your guy!

Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy.

Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.

-We require potential adopters to foster a dog for at least one night prior to adopting once they have an approved application submitted.
-We welcome out-of-area adopters, but please be aware we do require prospective adopters to come to our facility and meet the animal in person. You may either foster the dog locally in pet friendly lodging (preferably with any other dogs you own) or if you choose to drive the dog back home you agree to drive the dog back to Jackson if the dog isn't a good fit. Before you make the trip we encourage you to fill out an adoption application and submit it, to be sure you will qualify to adopt. Adoption applications can be filled out on our website. We cannot "hold" any animal. We have a "first qualified adopter can foster first" policy.
-We will not ship animals.
