Requirements: secure fenced yard with direct access to the yard, respectful children over the age of 12, either no other dogs in home, or a MALE dog who is the same size or larger.

Maggy is a wonderful, 3-year-old mixed breed (unknown) dog, full of life and love. In the few months living with a foster family she has come a long way in learning how to just be a dog. Maggy came from a kill shelter in Quebec, and has a mild anxiety or nervousness in new situations. She is working very hard on learning proper manners such as sit or come, and learning to walk with a halty or a leash. Her love of treats helps with this process, and is adorable when she dances for one. Maggy is a high energy dog, she loves to run at the dog park, so she will need a family who loves to be out and about. She leaps like a gazelle while running, with her tongue always flopping outside her mouth! She will always accept affection, and will let you love on her as much as you want. She is fully house trained, and eats well.

Maggy would be at her best when incorporated into a home with other dogs. She needs a MALE playmate who can run and play and spend time with her, or a home where she is the only dog. Maggy does have a high prey drive, so she will need to be in a home with no smaller animals. She’s a hunter, and will scare those squirrels right out of your yard! She has a fascination with anything up in the trees, and hopes to one day catch something.

Our Maggy has a wonderful personality, and really just does want to be loved and have a permanent home. She is affectionate and loves her people. She is wonderful with older children.
