Meet Maggie Mae
Miss Maggie Mae came to us from a shelter found as a stray. She was so shut down and scared of just about everything. She would hide in the corner and try to disappear. She is still scared of human touch but with time, routine and patience she has started to come out of her shell.
Maggie is approximately 4 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She is more likely a Siberian husky with her small features. Her fur had been cut down at the shelter because of all the burrs that she was found with but it's growing back in now.
Maggie would benefit from having a chill male companion dog but would be a no for small kids who may frighten her. She is house trained and crate trained and a real sweetheart. She needs a human who would be home more than not to spend time with and continue to learn what love is all about. It is critical for her human to be patient and offer her time, space, & choice to slowly build trust. A peaceful environment is ideal.
