Maggie - adoption pending's Story

Seeking a home within the LOWER MAINLAND OR FRASER VALLEY ONLY.

Sweet little Maggie. She's about 3 years old. She was surrendered to a veterinarian for euthanasia in May 2023, and ended up here at LMHS in June 2023.

Maggie is very much apprehensive of strangers and humans overall. She is also a one person dog, but may be able to live in a home with 2 people, as long as both people do exactly the same things to earn her trust.

Now this includes leaving her alone. Not forcing her to interact with you at all, until she is ready to do so. She will not be easy at first, but the reward will be having a super affectionate and loving friend.

Maggie should not live with children or other dogs. She is possessive of her human - they are mine! And only mine! She's been ok with the cats.

Maggie can be a bit barky so best to be in a detached home, hopefully with a fenced yard so she can go out to potty as she learns to trust her new people.

We will not move Maggie from HQ unless someone is 100% dedicated to making it work with her. And that means following all our recommendations. We do not want to set her up to fail.

Her adoption fee is $395
She is spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed and chipped.

If you think Maggie would be a match for you please submit an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser

www.lowermainlandhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/
