Maeve Miniature Poodle & Bichon Frise Mix Schaumburg, IL

Maeve: mostly blind, mostly deaf, and given up for just being old. But that hasn’t stopped this Poodle/Bichon Frise mix. At about 15 years old, Maeve still has a lot of life left in her.

Her foster mom calls her a “hero dog.” She is sweet, stoic, and beginning to feel better after not being cared for properly. Maeve is housebroken, crate-trained, doesn’t bark, and never chews on things she shouldn’t. She is curious and confident in learning her new surroundings, a task with which the resident dogs are helping. In fact, Maeve would probably prefer to have a buddy in her new home to help show her the ropes. She will do best in a single family home.

Initially shy, Maeve is very attentive. She is slowly learning to snuggle — something she dearly deserves and needs. She enjoys exploring the yard and going on car rides.

Senior dogs can be among the easiest to adopt because they know the rules and the most rewarding because you get to show them what a loving home is all about. Sweet Maeve will soak up all the love she can get. Do you have some to spare?
