Meet Maddox
Maddox came to us from a shelter as a stray in Virginia. We believe he is around 4 years old and weighs about 100 lbs. A routine neuter became an emergency when his scrotum swelled up to the size of a grapefruit! CHAAMP stepped in to help him medically. Maddox is physically recovered, and in boarding near Richmond, VA with one of our professional dog trainers with the Pet Professional Guild.
Maddox was frightened in the shelter and unsure of all his new surroundings. He was very vocal in letting everyone know how scared he was but with the force-free positive reinforcement training he is learning the ways of the world in a whole new light. Maddox will need to continue positive training. We are looking for an adopter who lives near Amelia, VA.
Maddox is crate and potty trained. He responds well to positive reinforcement rewards-based training -- getting treats to collaborate with humans is so much fun! His favorite pastime is doing zoomies! If you would be interested in learning more about Maddox please contact us today!

ADOPTION FEES
~Adult dogs (two-seven years old): $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over): $100.00
~Puppies (6 months - 1 year): $350.00
~Puppies (under 6 months): $375.00
All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Adoption fees help us cover these costs. Puppy fees are higher because they require more vet visits for vaccines.
CHAAMP IS NOT A SHELTER. We are volunteers covering a 7-state region.
CHAAMP is a Rescue Affiliate Member of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL). Our rescue efforts are coordinated locally. For a list of AMAL rescues in the USA and Canada, please visit https://www.malamuterescue.org/
