Mac Bear's Story

Mac Bear (Mac for short) was rescued from Will County Animal Control where he was brought in as a stray. He’s estimated to be 3-4 years old and weighs 75 lbs. Mac is an affectionate boy who loves to fetch, cuddle, and follow his people around. Mac has excellent house manners and does not require a crate, but the shelter reported he was calm and good in a crat. Mac is currently fostered in the city but city life isn’t for him. He gets overstimulated by all the lights and sounds. While he tested well at the shelter, he’s now showing leash reactivity towards other dogs. We think for now he should be an only dog where he can work on his skills around other dogs. Mac has not been cat tested. Ideally his forever home will have a nice fenced yard where he can play his favorite game of fetch! This sweet boy has a lot of love to give!

If interested in Mac Bear, apply at www.gsrescue1.org
