Mac Hound & Retriever Mix Billerica, MA

Mac was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. Taken to the shelter as an intentional stray, he was out of time and next to be euthanized when we saw his smiling face and made arrangements to have him pulled for our rescue.

He was fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and quarantined before sending to foster. He is currently in NH looking to find his forever family.

His foster mom says: This handsome boy needs a home! Lots of energy and he's a huge snuggle bug. Hes great with kids and other dogs. Loves car rides, walks, kisses, and lots of love. He needs some training on leash, we've been working on that one. But, he's very smart, is house trained and crate trained. Around 2.5 years old, Mack is a retriever/hound mix weighing in at 61 lbs.
Trainer evaluation available and is on his Facebook page. Trainer said:
Mack FULL of energy, loves people other dogs and treats. This energy is all friendly and happy wanting to play active. Mack is one of the happiest dogs I have ever evaluated. Because of his good energy level we will require that he go to a home that is active and where there is a fenced in yard so he can get good exercise

He is good with other dogs...very playful and friendly...BUT no cats.
