Meet Mabel
Hi, my name is Mabel ! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Active, boisterous, a little timid at first
-Can Live with Kids: Mabel is still very much a puppy and doesn't quite realize her size-- she will very easily knock down small children. At this time, we are recommending no kids under 10 years of age, pending an introduction here at the shelter.
-Can Live with Cats: NO- Mabel's previous owner said "SHE HATES CATS" and also "CHASES ANYTHING THAT MOVES".
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes! Another active, rowdy dog of similar size would be great for her!
-Can do Apartment Living: NO- this high energy dog needs a large place to call her own. Ideally she would have access to a securely fenced yard.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes-- depending on adopter experience, between 1-3 private lessons.
-Energy Level: Very high!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a spay
-Additional Information: Mabel is a friendly young dog who was surrendered to the shelter when her owners realized that dogs are a lot of work! Mabel is a rambunctious pup who wasn't given many tools for success in her previous home, but she is super smart, attentive, and eager to learn! While she may be a bit "ruff" around the edges, we know that Mabel has a ton of potential to be an awesome lifelong companion for the right family. Her ideal home has the time, resources, and sense of humor to continue her training.
