Mabel is just as her name means; “the lovable one” she has a sweet soul and you can tell by her big, brown, eeyore eyes she has had a tough start. While Mabel is shy and takes time to warm up her unconditional love is worth all the effort you will put into earning her trust. Mabel loves pets and once she is comfortable with you she will ask you over and over again for affection! When there is something that she is nervous about but you can tell she really wants to brave she will whine as she tries to work up the courage to go up the stairs or go outside. She has really impressed her foster mom and appears to be potty trained. She doesn’t love to be in her crate and her foster mom thinks she likely wouldn’t need to be crated. She loves to run in the backyard but still has to learn about walking on a leash. Her two foster brothers enjoy running in yard with her and trying to show her how to play with toys, she is still learning to play with toys. Mabel would do well with dogs of all sizes but she seems a little nervous around dogs bigger and more hyper than she is. Her current foster home does not have any children and small, high energy children may scare her but otherwise her foster mom thinks she would be fine in any type of home. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
