Meet Lyra - MI
This beautiful lady is Lyra.
Lyra and her puppies were homeless and picked up by animal control. They were facing euthanasia in the local pound when we, at The Artemis Project, stepped in to save them. The pups have found their new homes but Lyra is still searching for one of her own. And we won't stop until we find her perfect home.
Lyra is a GEORGEOUS yellow Shepherd mix. She is heartworm negative, current on her vaccines and preventatives, and she will be spayed before she leaves for her new home. We estimate her birthdate to be around 5/22/23. This sweetheart is going to make some lucky family a wonderful companion!
You're missing out if you don't adopt this amazing baby. She wants nothing more than to find her forever family... and she deserves it too!
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
