Our wise and beautiful Lyisa, is a six year old purebred Norwegian Elkhound looking for a change in circumstances. This 50 pound girl has had many litters of puppies and was a great mom to them all. Now Critter Calvary is helping her find a her own forever home where she can be treated like a queen and be part of a loving family. Lyisa is a calm and easy going girl and because she has been outside in a kennel her whole life, she hasn't had a chance to know anything about treats or soft beds, or people who just want to love you and give you treats. Lyisa is looking for a family to be patient and teach her about all the things she's missed out on. She took a little time and convincing that taking pictures outside her kennel wasn't a scary thing- but by the end she was loving the back scratches and treats ! This fairly rare breed is known for it's versatility, loyalty, and intelligence. Critter Calvary has been privileged to help find many of Lyisa's Elkhound breeder friends great homes and have gotten reports back from the adopters that they learn quickly, and have adapted to indoor life with success if just given a little time and patience. Lyisa has lived 6 years in a not great situation and we are looking for that forever home for her. Lyisa gets along with all her fur siblings and would do best in a home with older children or adults who can calmly give her the love she needs.
