Meet Luna Moon

Luna is a 6-7 month old Bulldog/Pit Bull puppy, Luna, weighs 40lbs. She’s currently in our house and doing well with our dog (170 lb St Bernard) and 4 cats. She does want to play with the cats in a ‘puppy’ sort of way, but has shown zero aggression at all. We also have 2 kids (6 & 7 year old boys) and she loves to be around them. Again, she is a puppy and showing that puppy excitement and we are working on her jumping and she’s doing great! She loves treats and to eat – we have her eating out of a ‘slow feeding bowl’ because she tends to eat really fast. In the spirit of transparency, she has chewed some things while left in our basement while we are at work. All in all she is a really sweet girl who loves love and would be a wonderful pet if the proper training were put into place. We are definitely trying our best to get her on the right track and she is definitely a ‘trainable’ dog, it’s just difficult for us to put in the amount of time with both of us working full time jobs. Again, the reason we have her is because she was in a neglected situation and the owners agreed to release her to us. We’re so happy to have her out of there and are excited to help find her forever home!

Crate trained: We just started putting her in a crate and she does really well in there while we are away! It is a larger one that we used to use for our St. Bernard, so she definitely has space in there.
And she hasn't gone to the bathroom in the crate once.
House broken: She is getting there. We still need to stay on top of getting her outside first thing in the morning and at night after she's drank water. Note that she was tied to a tree before we got her,
so she never had to use her bathroom muscles. But within the last couple months she's been with us, she's come leaps and bounds and is doing really well now!
Digging in the litter box: We have our litter boxes out of her reach, so she hasn't really been around them. But I will say that she hasn't been interested in going near them or the smell of them.
Quiet inside: The only time she barks is when someone comes to the door, but it's not a lot of barking at all.
