We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests.

Required a physically fenced in yard and companion dog in home for her to feel secure.


Meet Luna, a 4 yr old American Eskimo who is approx. 18 lbs. She joined us from a puppy mill after it was decided she wasn't producing enough babies. Luna was very fearful when she arrived and knew nothing of life outside a cage. She is still not sure about the outdoors and prefers a potty pad and will not walk on leash. She does however love attention. Her foster has taught her to touch hand with paw for pettings. Her eyes will melt you as she begs with them for petting. She is now getting better about going outside and is learning to enjoy snow but won't stay out for long.
Luna does well with other dogs and cats. Fearful of new people when meeting them but does not show aggression and isn't much of a barker considering breed. She goes in and out of her crate to nap and likes to follow her foster around the house. She will require someone with understanding of past to help her continue to learn that the world is not a scary place. Her gentle nature makes it worth a bit of effort to help her continue her journey. She will require another dog in home as she would not adjust to life without another dog to help her trust. She would probably be fine with older children but young, fast moving kids would most likely scare her. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
