Luna German Shepherd Dog & Labrador Retriever Mix Madison, WI

Luna is an energetic and loyal 5-year-old German Shepherd/Lab Mix that loves to play and run; her favorite activities are fetching the ball or frisbee, swimming, and climbing on fallen trees. Luna picks up new commands quickly and had no trouble learning to sit, lay down, stay and shake. Once she has gotten her exercise for the day she loves to cuddle up and be close to her people. Luna has been my adventure pal from the forests and lakes of Wisconsin to the snowcapped Rockies in Colorado, she has been a wonderful companion.

Three years ago, after being in a stress-inducing living situation for several months, Luna developed some reactive behaviors when approached by unfamiliar dogs and people. I have worked with several trainers regarding Luna’s behavior and more recently have seen progress after implementing practical obedience and positive control training techniques. Luna currently lives with my Dad in a home in Sun Prairie with two adults, two teens and an 11-year-old Springer Spaniel. Luna has been with them for just under three years after I moved and was no longer able have her at my apartment.

Over this last year my family had gone through some unexpected challenges, and we are looking to find a new home for Luna as soon as possible. We are looking for someone who will continue working with Luna on correcting her reactive behavior and has a lifestyle that will allow for her to get daily exercise and attention.
