Luna Great Dane & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Portland, OR

Approximately six years old, 90 lbs, Luna has had a tumultuous month. Luna was dropped off at a local municipal shelter in early September after law enforcement provided a welfare check at her house and discovered her owner deceased and Luna frantic. Luna was at the shelter waiting for placement with a Rescue when the shelter was evacuated due to the Oregon wildfires. Luna is now in a foster home decompressing from the stress of three moves in a month and losing her home and person. Luna is a resilient girl and spent the first evening at her foster home under the kitchen table WILLING one of the kids to accidently drop some food. It didn't happen. Multiple foster family members have explained to Luna that at 90 lbs., she can not crawl onto their lap and settle in to get comfy. Luna is a sweet girl who is looking for someone to call her own. She does OK on the leash but could use additional training. Luna is big and physically strong so we are asking for a home without small children (8 years or older would fine).
