Meet Lulu (age 5, 25-pounds) and Violet (age 4, 20-pounds)! A bonded French Bulldog pair looking for their forever home.
Lulu and Violet are extremely happy, occasionally stubborn, youthfully playful, and always loving girls! Both enjoy cuddling, playing, going for short walks and being a part of your car ride adventures. They are truly companion dogs reveling in their humans’ company.
L and V need a dog-free and cat-free home. Both have shown resource guarding when other animals receive attention from their humans. It is something that their foster is working on but because of it, no other animals in the home is necessary. Lulu has some leash reactivity and is working on that with her foster and will need to continue this work in her adoptive home. Both love treats and positive reinforcement, so training has been an enjoyable adventure for them!
The girls make wonderful movie-watching partners, are entertaining goofballs, and bundles of high-maintenance adorableness. They really do enjoy their naps, making an assortment of different noises, playing together, and living their best lives.
The girls really do adore humans and will take any chance they get to say hello! Things they do not adore are brooms, mops, the vacuum, lint rollers, strange noises, or humans wearing hoods.
Both are house-trained, but not crate-trained. They have done well being gated in a small area of the house with a baby gate. When it is playtime outside, we are recommending a fenced yard as L and V like to run after all the squirrels. In addition, a few short walks a day to help curb their energy. After that, they enjoy napping to recoup.
The girls are currently living with a child and do well. They will sometimes bark in reaction to the child’s movements to make sure they are okay. We are recommending if there are children in the home, that they are over the age of eight.
Lulu is currently taking allergy medication orally and topically (shampoo). Both are prone to loose stool and on a special prescription diet to aid in digestion. And with their breed, both need their wrinkles wiped with a warm cloth a few times a month. An adoptive home familiar with the common ailments/care regimen of the breed is imperative.
Lulu and Violet were absolutely loved and spoiled by their former owner. They are companion animals that want to be with you as much as physically possible. L and V are looking for a home where their humans are at home most of the time, there are no other pets, and where they will be loved unconditionally!
Their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
