Luke Great Pyrenees Pacific, MO

Luke is a gem of a Great Pyrenees. He came to Dirk's after a family went through some financial hardship. At his home he was with two other dogs. We don't know how he is around small children but since he is a little skittish, we will only send him home with older children. We don't know how he is around cats. Once he was vetted, it was discovered that he was heartworm positive. He has started treatment and we are looking for a calm household (no other dogs), where he can be fostered to continue out his treatment. Families would need to be available to bring him to our vet in Pacific for this. He requires a securely fenced yard connected to an exit door of the home, fence must be at least 4 feet high, no invisible fences.

Luke is 2 years old. His current weight is around 85 pounds.

The minimum donation for Luke is $450.00. This includes all of his vetting. If you are interested in Luke, please fill out an online application through our website.

Then meet him at the shelter during adoption hours on Saturdays and Sundays 10 - 2pm by appointment only. All members of the household need to meet the dog you are interested in. Vet records for any current or previous pets need to be provided. If all goes well, home visits are done prior to adoption, and you must be within reasonable distance for that to be accomplished.
