Luke Akita & German Shepherd Dog Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Luke is a very special to the Misfits family. He has had a rough start to his life and has done nothing but thrive to the best of his ability since day one! He is an approximately 1-year-old bipedal Akita / German Shepherd mix. He is incontinent in both his bowels and bladder and needs frequent baths but he doesn't mind! He was a tri-pod for a while but due to his incontinence, his one back leg was just causing him more problems. We made the difficult decision to amputate his second back leg! While we struggled with that decision, we are confident it was the right choice for him! His personality has blossomed and he has become a completely new dog with the freedom that surgery provided him! He runs and plays with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels in his foster home and doesn't miss a beat!

He is not potty trained, for reasons listed above but he promises to pay you in love and kisses for always cleaning up his messes and keeping him clean and healthy!

He has been great with all other pets he has been introduced to and loves humans of all ages and sizes! He is a little clumsy, so small children will need to be monitored around him. He loves being showered with attention by children of all sizes, though!

He runs, jumps, rolls around, and over-all just acts like a typical 4-legged dog! He will show you all the love and affection in the world if you will give him the chance to do so! He loves to play but he would also be content to be a cuddly couch potato if that's the lifestyle his human is most comfortable with.
