Luka American Staffordshire Terrier & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Houston, TX

Luka was born on or around November 22, 2021 and seems to now be full grown around 45 lbs. She loves to give hugs and kisses. She listens very well and recalls well. She has 5 foster fur-siblings ranging from under 10 lbs to 130 lbs and loves to play with each of them, especially the doberman. She loves her humans too and will come right up for cuddles. Her foster mom is a therapist and after knowing Luka for a short period she said she is very empathetic and now takes her to work with her where she greets clients and helps them to feel at ease during sessions! She is an amazing dog who is non-stop curious. She says she will watch you and learn what you do and what you like. She also loves water, including baths!! Luka will use a doggie door but if it's locked she will let you know when she needs to go by looking at you and leading you back to the door.

Luka came to our rescue after a good samaritan found her injured on a busy highway. After asking for help, we ended up bringing Luka into our rescue in order to meet her care needs. We were originally worried that she had some nerve damage in her front legs but after a few months of nourishment, she is doing wonderfully. Her legs don't have any lasting issues and she's gained 10 lbs over 2 months! The body can act strangely when malnourished so we are very thankful to see how well she's doing.
