Hello! Luigi is my name and fun is my game. Playing with stuffed animals, chewing on my antler, ball throws in the backyard and nature walks all make me happy. While I love being active, I also enjoy snuggling with my humans and my dog friend at the end of the day. I’m looking for a fun and special forever family that I can share my love with (and my foster mom always says I have so much love to give).
Every morning I wake up thrilled to start the day and pass out at night like a tired kindergartener. I love having another dog (who is female) in the house. We like to chase each other, play tug of war and look out the living room window together.
When I was first rescued, I was overwhelmed and had a lot to learn. My foster mom notes that I have made a remarkable transformation over this past year. I learned that training is fun (especially when treats are involved) and even worked with a trainer. I am crate-trained and know “sit”, “shake”, “down”, “come”, “leave it”, “watch me”, “wait” and “mat”. I have even learned to walk much better on the leash. Because I am still learning, sometimes I get excited and need to be reminded of things I shouldn’t do and I respond well to “no”.
What would be the best family for me? Daily walks are a must so I hope my future family is active. I also would love a home with a fenced yard to safely frolic and explore. While I ask for slow introductions to new people and dogs, I would like to have another dog in my family. If there are any kids in the home, I would do best with older kids who have experience with dogs. I dream of a future family that will inspire me to keep training and support me with patience and understanding when I feel nervous. In exchange, I promise to be the bestest friend forever.
