Meet Lucy!

You ain't nothin' but a hound dog!? We think NOT!! Lucy lost her first home and came to us shut down and frightened. She was in the DASH training program, brushing up on skills, but wasn't thriving. This sweetheart is now in a foster home where she is gaining trust and rediscovering love. We are learning just how much she craves love and a human companionship; she loves to be petted. Lucy Jo is potty-trained, crate and leash trained. Lucy Jo has attended some outings to gain confidence around new dogs and people. She appears to be most comfortable around women and can be very friendly! She is a little hesitant around men, you will need to work slowly to earn her trust, just give her some space, let her come to you on her terms & watch the magic happen. She has not had much exposure to children, however, she did very fine meeting children at adoption events. If her forever family has children, we recommend they be aged 8 and above. She can be selective about her pup friends; some seem to make her more uncomfortable than others, so being the only dog would be wonderful. If you do have another in your home, a good meeting is a must. We can provide assistance & guidance with implementing decompression techniques if you make her your own. Lucy would love to have a loving family of her very own, she just needs your time and love to blossom!!!
