Lucy~ I was featured on Channel 2's ADOPT A PET segment! Shepherd Mix Buffalo, NY

Lucy is a 9 month old shepherd mix who was recently surrendered to the shelter. Her owner was moving across the country, and unfortunately could not take her.  Lucy was very scared and confused as to how she ended up being at the shelter, but with the nurturing guidance of dedicated volunteers, she feels a little more comfortable in her surroundings.  Her previous owner reported that she was good with older kids, and housebroken.   Lucy is still a little aloof when meeting new people, but if you give her a few minutes to make friends with you, she will gladly take you up on that offer! She loves to frolic in the yard and is graceful like a gazelle when she runs!  Lucy is extremely dog friendly and might do best in a home with another canine older sister or brother to help give her guidance and structure.  She seemed to past her cat test with flying colors as well!  Wuth a little guidance and love, we think she'll be a wonderful family addition.
