Adoption coordinator Kathy

This chocolate beauty is Lucy. She’s 2 yrs old and 37 lbs. She was found as a stray in the south. She’s a high energy gal, so an active home is a must. She loves playing with other dogs and would do well in a home with another active dog or a home where she can play with other dogs often. She loves playing fetch (although she doesn’t bring the ball back), and is described as very sweet. She has not been cat tested, so a cat free home is best. She’s crate trained and working on her house training. She pulls on a leash and is jumpy and hyper when excited. She’d do best with kids 10+. She is very smart and should respond well to training. She is not a good fit for an apartment/condo. Adoption fee $400.

Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom. STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
