Meet Miss Lucy,....

Lucy is a 2 year old Pinscher/Jack Russel mix, 25 lbs with a short tail.
She was part of a hoarding case of over 50 dogs on a property. She is a very sweet little lady who follows me around in my kennel routine every morning. She will go outside to potty and then hangs out and goes from kennel to kennel like she is making sure the job is done right :-) after that she enjoys her cuddle time and belly rubs. She has the most beautiful face which looks like she is wearing eyeliner.
She is crate trained and does very well with other dogs.

Dogs from a hoarding case are 99.9% of the time very under socialized. Lucy needs time to bond with new people.
She has never been walked on a leash in her life before and is terrified of it and that is why she needs a home with a fenced in yard, ( no exceptions)
If the way she can go out to potty is on a leash, which is frightening to her, she won't learn to be house broken and she does already pretty well.
Baby steps with dogs like her are a must.
Most dogs will remain timid towards strangers coming to to your home and new situations in general but will bond with their family and thrive in a low traffic and stable environment. It is amazing to see them blossoming over time.

Lucy is also heartworm positive but started her treatment which will not affect her regular life at all. She is on the Moxidectin ( non arsenic ) treatment, 1 application a months you can do at home topical, which doesn't require the dogs to be confined or held back with their energy and in a few months she will have a clear test result.
