Meet Lucky Jack. This gentle soul has known love--and heartbreak. For nine years, he was a cherished part of a family, but when life took an unexpected turn, they could no longer keep him. Now this 40-pound shepherd mix is searching for a new place to call home, and a new person to love with all his heart.

Lucky Jack is the kind of dog who feels things deeply. He's quiet and sensitive, the type who watches from the sidelines until he knows he's safe. Strangers make him nervous, but once you earn his trust, he blossoms into the sweetest, most loyal companion. He doesn't have a single mean bone in his body--just a tender heart that's been bruised by change.

What helps Lucky Jack feel brave again? Dogs. He absolutely lights up around other pups and needs a doggy friend or two in his forever home to help guide him and show him the ropes. He's house trained, well-mannered, and respectful in the home--no messes, no mischief, just quiet companionship.

Lucky Jack may not come bounding up to you right away. He may hang back a little, watchful and unsure. But give him time, and you'll see something beautiful: the moment his eyes soften, his tail gives a little wag, and he lets himself believe in love again. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.
