With his stunning auburn coat and soulful golden eyes, Lucky is a remarkable 2-year-old Shepherd mix, weighing approximately 60 pounds fully grown.

Lucky and his siblings were abandoned as innocent puppies, forced to endure a life deprived of proper shelter, food, and water. Their journey led them to a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia, until fate intervened. Thankfully, Home for Good Dog Rescue became their saving grace.

When Lucky first arrived at HFGDR, he was but a shell of a dog. However, under the nurturing care of HFGDR and his loving foster family, Lucky experienced a remarkable transformation. Kind, gentle, and submissive, Lucky's true nature emerged. Once he warms up and places his trust in you, he reveals his goofy and playful side. Lucky's sweet temperament makes him an ideal companion for other dogs, making it essential that he finds a home with a furry friend or even multiple canine companions.

Lucky finds pure joy in long leash walks and hikes with his foster family. A fenced-in yard provides him with the perfect playground, where he happily engages in playtime with his beloved tennis balls and squeaky toys. He really is one big goofball once he becomes comfortable!

And there's more! Lucky possesses several bonuses that make him even more delightful. He is food motivated and eager to learn, making training sessions a rewarding experience. Lucky is already housebroken, crate trained, and a champion at sleeping through the night.
