Lucky Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Michigan City, IN

My name is Lucky. I'm six years old and am neutered. I arrived at the shelter due to my owner passing away. I was very loved in my previous home and am trying to understand my new situation. The humans here at the shelter say that I'm seriously an awesome boy and they're sure I'll find my second chance.

Playing "Fetch the Tennis Ball" is my favorite game ever. My manners are nearly perfect, and I bring the ball back and drop it right at your feet! And speaking of my polite manners, I walk right next to you like a perfect gentleman.

I've done well with other dog-friendly dogs. In fact, I used to live with a couple other nice pups! The humans are still watching my behavior around kitties.

Sometimes it takes me longer to acclimate to strangers; I can be a bit timid but going for walks and playing fetch together really have helped me to acclimate and get to know everyone here.

I can be anxious when I'm in a new situation. In the home, I am crate-trained and usually do okay when left alone. I may need time to get comfortable with our routine once I am home with you. I will do best with a fenced-in yard and to have someone be with me when I'm outside. I'm somewhat of an escape artist, so please monitor me outside so I can stay safe.
