Lucky was abandoned. Left in a crate by the side of the road...

Despite his decidedly UN-lucky start, he has turned out to be a total gem! He is a dog's dog - he LOVES having a canine friend to play with. At the dog park, he gets along with everyone. Lucky doesn't have a malicious bone in his body. When challenged he is totally non-reactive - in fact - he sometimes misreads it as a sign of play because he is so easy going.

Lucky has been fostered with kids, and dogs and done fine with both. He is also in a house with cats - he wants to play with them but they don't return his affection. He will be fine with cats once he understands them better.

He is neutered and up to date on shots. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. When he is not racing around expending his puppy energy he is happily chewing on and ripping apart dog toys or napping next to his person or near the other dogs in the house. He seems to be fully grown at about 35 lbs.

Lucky would not be suited to an

apartment because he does like to bark at the neighbors and the noises he hears from the street. His barking is not excessive but he does have a deep manly bark. And although he loves kids of all sizes he needs an experienced adult committing to walking him at least until he is properly leash trained - currently he is a strong puller.

Lucky would certainly benefit from having another dog around to play with and show him the ropes but he would probably be fine as an only dog as well. He will make for an excellent addition to any active family who is committed to

working with him on his house and leash manners
