He started out skin and bones, tail tucked tight in fear, but today he’s standing tall with a big ol’ pittie grin and tail wagging proudly. <br/><br/>He’s smart, eager to please, and loves attention almost as much as he loves snacks (and that’s saying something).<br/><br/>Home Wish List:<br/> • Fenced yard for zoomies and security patrols ?<br/> • Humans who offer love, patience, and plenty of treats <br/> • A single-family home preferred — Lucky takes his role as protector seriously and will alert you to any uninvited guests, delivery drivers, or suspicious squirrels.<br/><br/>With Other Animals<br/> • Dogs: Lucky would thrive best as your one and only dog for now. He could possibly join a home with a young, submissive pup if his adopter has experience with careful introductions.<br/> • Cats: Initially standoffish but has learned to coexist peacefully — friendly cats get bonus points.<br/> • Other animals: He’s lived around chickens, livestock guardian dogs, and Frenchies. He sometimes dreams of being Alpha but has learned second-in-command isn’t so bad:)<br/><br/>With Kids<br/><br/>Lucky gets along great with the neighbors’ 8-year-old and 18-year-old. His past is a bit of a mystery, but he enjoys kind, respectful kids who understand he’s still learning about personal space (he’s a close-talker, working on it!).<br/><br/>Training & Manners<br/> • Crate Trained: Sort of! He can do a crate… but also knows how to pick locks. Escaping isn’t rebellion — it’s just showing off his skills. He stays close to home and goes back easily when asked.<br/> • Leash Manners: About 83% trained. ? He’s great in a harness and loves walks but hasn’t mastered the “heel” just yet.<br/> • Potty Training: Unknown (he’s been outdoors), but he’s super smart and quick to learn.<br/><br/>Foster Family Notes<br/><br/>“Lucky came to us broken and scared. Now he runs to greet us with his head high and tail wagging. He’s healthy, happy, and has the sweetest pittie smile.
