Hi my name is Lucille Ball, but you can call me Lucy. I was found on my foster mom’s best friend’s porch. I looked very sad, was matted and had fleas. Since then I’ve been bathed, combed and as you can see, I’m beautiful. I’m still pretty young (est DOB 1/6/2017) and I’m a very affectionate lap dog. My foster mom thinks I was dumped at a dog park near her friend’s home because wasn't house broken. But together we are working very hard on that and I’m doing much better. I've got a schedule for potty breaks and as long as we keep to the schedule there haven't been any accidents in the house. You will have to continue to take me out right after I eat, wake up from a nap or when I have to be crated or confined to an area in the house while you are away from home for any length of time, what most dogs need while learning house manners. I’m presently living with other dogs and cats and learning a lot of things from them. No kids at my foster’s home so not sure about them. There are three cats and my foster says I like them as much or better than the pups I live with now. I do get nervous when I’m picked up but if you pick me up gently and hold me close while you are carrying me, I’ll learn that you can be trusted to carry me safely. If you are interested in me, I'll be at the Clear Lake Petco Adoption Events on Saturday and we can have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.

Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit will be required prior to Sophia going to any home.

Adoption fee for this dog is $175.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Since all of our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to pets2adopt@yahoo.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco.
