Lucille English Bulldog & American Bulldog Mix AMARILLO, TX

Lucille and her son Beaux were dumped on a really cold day in an alley and were found sleeping on an old mattress. It wasn’t until we got Lucille Spade that we found out that she has no tongue. I noticed that she was having issues picking up cables off the ground and was a really messy eater in drinker and so it all made sense once that information was divulged. Other than needing small cables and an elevated food and water bowl, Lucille has no other special needs other than she cannot take treats from the ground and things like that. She is a dominant dog and kind of mothers everyone here which includes occasional reprimanding so I do not want her placed in the home With an aggressive or alpha dog. We estimate her at around eight or nine years old and she does have some arthritis in her hips and is on bone supplements daily. We are looking for a retirement home that is familiar with this breed and is welcoming to a senior special needs neglected dog. We do have an adoption process and an approved adopter must pick up. Lucille does not give kisses but she does give what I call snuffles and they are precious
