Lucie Labrador Retriever Mix Lenoir, NC

Lucie is a sweet lady who loves everyone. She was a stray wandering around the neighborhood who was finally rescued by a kind rescuer. She's looking for a home of her own and family to love.

In May 2019 she went to an adoption event at a local winery. Although she's old enough for a glass, she was more interested in greeting all the people and getting as many pets from them as possible.

We're guesstimating her birthday in March 2012. She's leash-trained and house-trained when kept on a regular schedule. She's being kept in an outdoor kennel at her foster's, but has no trouble waiting for potty breaks at adoption events.

Although she doesn't seem cat aggressive, she does want them to run so she can chase. Although she's being fostered in an outdoor, covered corral, at adoption events she waits for potty breaks.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

All adoption fees cover two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our veterinarian. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue.
