"Hola Hoomans, my name is Lucia. I think I’m a Border Collie Aussie Mix. If I heard the hoomans correctly, I am about 1-2 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs.

I enjoy long walks with my backpack, I love playing fetch, and I love taking the stuffing out of stuffed toys.  I also enjoying playing tug-o-war and wrestling with other dogs—so I need a furry sibling. I am very curious about cats -  thoug the cats I've encountered don’t like me because I like to sniff them a lot. And lastly, I love to end the day cuddling with the hoomans while we watch TV."

*Lucia was taken in after she was found wandering the streets. She was shy, scared, and clearly depressed. What truly makes her special is her personality. We may not speak the same language but her behavior truly shows how grateful she is. This girl has so much love and snuggles to give.   Lucia is very close to being 100% house trained, but it’s important for her new owners to watch for indications that she needs to go out…she will wake you up, if needed!

Lucia is looking for an active home, preferably with another active dog in it as this will give her added confidence, companionship and a quick introduction to the house rules. Since she is very active, older kids are recommended so she doesn't knock a little one over. Border Collies are very smart and active and get bored without regular exercise and mental stimulation/training, so she is looking for a very active family whose willingly to include her in all sorts of activities.
