People always want to know your dreams. They want to know what you hope to be when you grow up, and what you hope to find in life. I was never asked this of course, I mean I was just a pup when I heard it. However, I thought about it and had decided I want a family. The kind that sweep you off your feet. Take you on fun adventures, cuddle with you on the couch, share yummy treats with you, and maybe even have some kiddos to love on. Most of all though I wanted that belonging feeling. That everything is right in the world and I am where I am supposed to be. Sadly, my last home wasn't that for me. They ended up moving and couldn't take my sister(Mica) and I. So, we ended up at this rescue. Now, I can finally fulfill my dream....the dream that I am going to find my forever family!

My name is Lucca and I am a 10 month old female Aussie mix. I am not very big and only weigh about 37lbs and won't get too much bigger. My coat is a lovely mix of white and merle. I also have the prettiest eyes. I am everything you could ever hope for in a dog. I know that sounds a bit egotistical but please read on ahead and you will believe me ?

I love meeting new people. I am talking tail wagging, kiss giving happy! My personality is perfect for anyone looking for someone to take their dog everywhere with them. I am quite the social butterfly! I definitely have a happy go lucky personality and act like a puppy still. I should also mention that I like to give hugs, but my foster is working with me on this. Apparently, not everyone likes them...kinda crazy..but okay. For those longer car trips, I am game! I love the car, and will stick my head out of window. I do walk great on a leash, but my foster does recommend a harness for me. While I do have a great personality, it is hard to say if I would do well in an apartment. I can be quite active, and do have a little bit of anxiety of left alone. As far as being vocal, I am only a barker when I hear the other dogs barking. I can't let them have all the fun ?
As far as my house manners go, I am still a puppy. That means that my new home should have the house puppy proofed just in case. I do love my chew bones and they are a great way to keep me distracted. I like playing outside and really enjoy playing with tennis balls. Toys are also very entertaining to me! If you are looking for a dog who loves water, I can't say one way or the other at this time. Food aggression and resource guarding are always a possibility with a rescue dog, however I have shown no signs to have either in my foster home. I am potty trained, but not kennel trained. At night, I like sleeping under the cover in my fosters bed. Yes, I am definitely a cuddle bug ?
I do great with the other dogs. I am good at reading their body language and know when I should leave them alone or when it is time to play! I have not been around any cats, so can't sure how I would be with them. I have not been around any young kids, but do great with my fosters teenage son.

That was pretty fun! It reminded me of one of those shows where you have to plead your case about something? However, here I was pleading my case on why you should adopt me. Wasn't that pretty good? Did I win you over?!
I guess I should also mention that I am looking for a home that has older children and a home with a calmer dog(s). I am not a huge fan of those in your face dogs that try and jump all over you. I may be playful but I am not crazy ? I also can get a little anxious when I am home all alone so should have another dog in my home OR someone who is home most of the day. Or better yet both!

My adoption fee is $225. That includes my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. I will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, ehrlichia tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on my heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.

Lastly, I am being fostered in Edmond, OK. Before you ask, we do adopt out of state. You should know though that we do require adoptive families to pick up their new dog. Those long transports are just too stressful, same goes for shipping us. Sooooo, if you are out of state it looks like we will be road tripping! I call shotgun!
