Meet Louise, a 4 month old, ~20 pound Jack Russell mix. She and her sister Thelma were found on the side of the road in Tennessee and some nice people rescued them and they’ve now made their way to NY to start their new adventure. Louise is a little timid (who can blame her), but is warming up quickly and is as cute and sweet as they come. She’s playful, loves to romp around the yard with her foster dog sibling, and has become besties with the resident cat. She’s doing amazing with house training and hasn’t had a single accident with routine outings. She slept through the night in a crate without a peep from about 10:30 to 5:30, and although she’s still a bit timid, she doesn’t pass up a good couch cuddle. She may need a little patience becoming completely comfortable, but she has a bunch of the basics pretty much down down and will make a great addition to any family. Oh, and good luck not falling for the sad puppy eyes on this one.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
