About Louie:

Meet Louie, our “mini” Great Dane (think Catahoula-sized with a Dane’s heart) who wishes he could fit in your lap—and might try anyway! At 11 years young, Louie still loves to trot around the yard and gets the zoomies when the mood strikes. He’s playful with other dogs, loves kids of all ages, and adores people.

Louie is a gentle giant and a true cuddle bug who will lean all his weight into you for pets. If you work from home, he’d love to be your coworker, happily snoozing nearby while you work. Louie does have some anxiety during storms and fireworks, so he’ll need a reassuring presence during those times. He’s good on a leash, loves car rides, and knows “sit” and “stay.” He is housetrained, though he sometimes has accidents if left alone too long.

Louie’s perfect home would be one where he’s part of the family and not left outside alone, as he prefers to be inside with his people. He’s looking for a patient, loving family who will let him enjoy his golden years with comfort, security, and lots of cuddles.
