Louie is a very special dog who needs a very special home. He is about 7 months old and is an adorable English Bulldog. He is so happy and joyful---loves everyone he meets. He has some special needs-but he doesn't know it. He has spinal biffada, and there is neurological damage to his back end. So he wears diapers and his back legs don't work the best-but he still gets around just fine . Just no stairs for this boy. But he is pretty small, only about 25 lbs and loves to be carried like a small child. He doesn't love his wheelchair, but doesn't hate it either. He wears a diaper fulltime, except when he is outside in nice weather-then he gets to go naked. He does great in a kennel and is super quiet. He would make an excellent apartment dog because he just doesn't bark much-and doesn't need much exercise..and the diapers make outdoor potty breaks minimal. Louie loves everyone he meets---dog and human alike. Other dogs, however, seem to sense his disability and he makes them uncomfortable. Even pretty tolerant dogs seem stressed. But he doesn't mind being an only dog?'?|and he loves to get all the attention himself. He is a puppy, so still working on chewing and puppy biting, but corrects very well and just wants love and affection. Louie appears to have some allergies to food that we are still working on. He is currently on prescription dog food and struggled with yeast infections on his whole body. The medication he is on takes care of it, but we just have to hopefully figure out how to prevent it and right now the vet thinks it is an allergic response to something. As far as care, he needs his diaper changed about 4x/day but could make it 8 hours for someone who worked outside the home. We wouldn't want it to be more than 8, and obviously would be ideal to have less, but he is fine for up to 8 hours if need be. Louie takes a bit more to care for him, but he give you so much in return. He loves with reckless abandon and he has no idea that his life could be any other way. He doesn't feel sorry for himself, so don't spend time feeling sorry for him. Instead, share, share, share and lets help Louie find a great furever family who will love him forever!
