Mr. Louie is an English Bulldog who has a date of birth of 10/12/21. Louie has special needs. He was born with Spina Bifida. He does not use his back legs at all (except to help him scoot around). He is incontinent and does wear diapers.

Louie doesn't know he isn't "normal". He was born this way and to him this is normal. He absolutely LOVES attention. He loves to play with other dogs - who sometimes don't like him and we are guessing they sense his disabilities. We have had one of his rear legs amputated as he kept chewing on it and it was constantly infected. We are considering taking the other rear leg off (at our expense) because he drags it and is causing open sores on it.

Louie is one of the most attention seeking puppies you could ever find. He thinks everyone loves him and he loves everyone in return. He has been in two amazing foster homes since his arrival to us in January. He has had some applications but none that were prepared to deal with his physical needs for his lifetime.

We have contacted a couple of Bulldog Special needs rescues and they have not given us the courtesy of a response.

Louie is currently living in a foster home that has cats and for the most part he can't keep up with them. He isn't really fond of his wheelchair and kind of pouts when you put him in it. He prefers to scoot himself around. He is VERY strong in his front end. His front legs work with no issues.

Louie needs a forever home. The shelter isn't set up to attend to all of his physical needs and it is unfair to him.

He does come with a supply of his food, his supply of diapers and wipes, belly bands, diaper covers, suspenders, drag bag and his wheelchair. He is neutered and current on all shots and preventatives.
