Meet Sweet Lou
Lou is available for adoption!
Weight: 52 pounds
Age: around 6 months old
Lou and his siblings were saved by one of our partner shelters in Arkansas. The person that surrendered him told our partner shelter that the mom was a Great Pyr mix.
Lou is precious, very calm, crate trained, house trained, loves other dogs, and rarely barks. He has a sweet disposition, and even though he is a big boy, he would rather be in your lap! He is very submissive to all dogs. Lou loves kisses, hugs, and cuddling. He is so good on car rides and enjoys going to work with his foster mom. He is learning manners and knows “sit”.
More from his foster in Maine:
He is a happy spunky boy who loves cuddles and his chew toys. He is happiest being around his people but is also happy in his crate or lounging on the couch. He has not met a person or dog he doesn't like and plays so well with other dogs. He walks very well on leash and has been left alone in the car for short amounts of time and just curls up and waits patiently for your return. He is such a well adjusted sweet boy.

Update 6/15/23
Lou had a broken leg when he was very young, and the bone fused together leaving him with a limp. He is having xrays and a surgery consult with an orthopedist here in Maine. We want Lou to have the best possible care, this sweet pup deserves it!
