This sweet little 9-lb Chihuahua was transferred to us on April 23, 2019 from a rural county shelter. Loretta had two little 5-week puppies with her and, although we expected her to be protective and nervous coming into a new place with such young babies, she was loving and affectionate right from the start. She can't give you enough kisses and loves to jump up in your lap. We were told by the other shelter that Loretta was born in October 2017 but we think she looks a little older than that. Of course, the quality of life she had in the past (which we don't know if it was good or bad) might contribute to her looking older than her years. Loretta loves attention and happily gives back as much affection as she receives. She loves leash walks and has the cutest little strut to her walk. Although we don't know with certainty that Loretta is house-trained, she is very good at keeping her kennel clean and gets so excited when it's time to go for a walk and 'take care of business.' This little sweetheart is sure to bring a lot of joy to her adopter for years to come. To find out if Loretta would be a good fit for you and your household, just stop by the shelter and ask to spend some time with her. She can't go to a new home until after she's spayed but we are taking applications on her now. Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: Tan Points Weight: 8.13lbs Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks I am available for adoption at the Animal Care Society.
