Meet Lolo!! Not sure how this sweet boy hasn't been adopted yet. He would be the perfect family dog or first family dog! He's great with other dogs and kids, and wants a home to call his own. And is about the perfect age! Doesn't have the lack of manners like younger puppies, but with the same amount of cuddles! Is already learning basic commands, and is the perfect age to get into training!! On top of it all he's food motivated and wants to learn! Lolo seems to be partially blind in his right eye, but don't let that fool you! He still wants to go everywhere and do everything right alongside you!! But if you like to stay in? Oh he can do that too! From cuddling all up on you, to entertaining himself with a ball if you can't play, all the way to playing with a tug toy with you. He's down for anything but his favorite place is anywhere with water!! He LOVE LOVE LOVESSS to go swimming, or playing in a sprinkler!! Does any bit of him sound perfect to you? Amazing! As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer.

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, check, and credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards.

Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesday 5-7pm, Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.

Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
