Lolipa "Lola" has the ability to warm her way into the heart of everyone who meets her. She is an 11 year old Shepherd, Terrier, American Pit Bull Mix, medium size (about 38 lbs), spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Lola is a gentle, quiet, easy going, affectionate, and cuddly. She would make the perfect companion for someone who works from home! She loves being with people and getting tummy rubs, and is content to nap or play quietly with a toy by your side. She is potty-trained and doesn't jump on or bark at people or other animals. She loves a morning walk around the neighborhood and watching us work in the garden. We have not observed any bad habits since she's been in our care-She doesn't chew on anything she's not allowed to or scratch at the door or whine or act anxious -she really just wants to please and be near human companions. And she acts like any toy or treat you give her is the greatest thing she has ever received. She is a simply a sweet and gracious girl.

Background: Lola was left behind by her owner when he moved at the beginning of September and surrendered to FWACC. She tested positive for heartworms so she is now staying with a foster family and is currently being treated. She is tolerating the heartworm treatment well.
