Lola's Story

The Gentle Retriever Mix Ready to Bloom

Lola is a 3-year-old, 50-pound retriever mix with a heart as tender as her golden coat. She’s the kind of dog who notices the small things — a soft voice, a kind touch, a safe space to just be — and she thrives when she knows she’s truly loved.

Right now, Lola is a little shy and unsure in new situations. She can startle at sudden movements, and when other dogs approach, she prefers to stand still and observe rather than rush right in. But with time, patience, and kindness, she will show you her sweet, trusting side. On walks, she stays close by your side, and you can feel her start to relax with each step you take together.

Lola would do well with a confident, friendly dog to help show her the ropes and give her the reassurance she needs to grow into her confidence. She doesn’t ask for much — just a safe home, gentle hands, and a person who will love her exactly as she is while helping her become all she’s meant to be.

Her journey is even more meaningful when you know she was rescued from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded Texas shelter for no reason other than space. Now, she’s ready for a new chapter — one filled with patience, love, and the kind of trust that lasts a lifetime.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

Lola is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to her forever home by our rescue!
