Lola Shepherd Mix Berkeley Heights, NJ

Lalala oh... Hi! I'm Lola! I'm a 7-month-old Shepherd mix and my friends at the rescue tell me I'm very cute. I didn't believe it at first but they have told me so many times, I believe it now! You see, I didn't have the best start in life. I was rescued alongside my sister, Paris after we were both hit by moving vehicles and left on the side of the road to die. My sister suffered a broken pelvis, however, I only had minor injuries. Though, based on how I was hit, I will always run with a "bunny hop" gait. Home for Good Dog Rescue took me to many specialists to ensure I do not need any further rehab or surgery at this time. Thankfully, I do not, but I will likely just move with an odd gait for the rest of my life. Don't worry though, it does not slow me down and I still play just as much as other pups.

I currently weigh about 27 pounds and am growing like a little weed. My favorite thing to do is snuggle, I LOVE snuggles! If you'll let me, I will snuggle my nose right into your neck and hopefully maybe take a nap just like that. I really like playing with toys and sharing them too! The softer squeaky toys are my favorite so I would love it if there are tons at home. I hope to go home with other dogs, cats, or children, I love them all so much! People are definitely my favorite, but do not let my initial shyness fool you.

Everyone tells me that I am crate trained, though I have no clue what that really means. I am super smart and will easily pick up on house training. I already know how to walk on a leash pretty well and would love to go on long walks throughout the neighborhood. If you have not already met all of your neighbors, get ready to! Everyone will want to come say hi to me and I will be sure to introduce to them! I hope to meet you soon, I really want a family to call my own. I am super excited about all the different kinds of adventures we will have and all the treats I will get to try, Please apply and adopt me!

Lola is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
