Logan was found wandering by himself, and a Good Samaritan made sure he got off the streets and turned him over to the county shelter. County then hand delivered Logan to Home Fur Good. Everyone comments, after their initial meeting with Logan, that he is very well behaved. Logan is a one-year-old, 47-pound Husky mix. Logan is an enthusiastic, joyful, and playful puppy that cannot wait to see what game you are interested in playing. Logan is a smarty-pants: he already knows sit, down, and fetch. His favorite game is chase; if only we all had half his energy to lap the play yard several hundred times a day. Logan will do best with an experienced dog owner, not only experienced in owning a dog but also with the Husky breed. They are intelligent and somewhat independent and stubborn; they require firm but gentle training on a consistent basis. Huskies thrive on human company and tend to be friendly with people, both adults and children, which translates to not being receptive to being left alone for long periods of time. Huskies were bred to run, and their love of running may overcome their love for their guardians. Exercising their bodies and their minds is a must. The adoption fee for Logan is $400, which is higher than it would be under our normal fee schedule. That is because he is one of our Guardian Angel dogs. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable adoptees, and their increased fees are used expressly to help defray costs for our rescues with special needs such as advanced medical treatment or training for behavioral issues, or for those who are with us for unusually long periods of time. In this way the Guardian Angels directly help our other rescues! All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.
